A four-wheel-drive vehicle is a necessity at the gravel launch; otherwise, you will have to carry your boat down to the water's edge. Access to Courtois Creek is about 100 yards below the dam.

Directions
From Potosi, MO, take Hwy 8 west for about 16 miles. Turn south on Forest Road 2247 for about 2.25 miles, then west on Forest Road 2514 and go 1.25 mile to an unmarked backwoods road on the left. Follow it downhill a half-mile to the lake.
