Sutton Bluff

Sutton Bluff Campground is set back off the West Fork of Black River in a forested area. It offers 35 large, mowed sites, each with table, lantern post, and fire ring.



 The Basics


District: Mark Twain National Forest
Season: April to October
Camping Info: Nightly fees for single sites are $8; double sites are $16.
Day use fee: $2 per standard vehicle; $10 per bus. Season pass $20. Reserve the pavilion for $34 per day at ReserveUSA.com.


 Some More Things to Know

Campsites are well-separated and offer an open, park-like setting.
Drinking water as well as flush and vault toilets are centrally located.

Area attractions:
Picnicking: 3 single sites, each with table and grill. Drinking water and toilets provided.Parking space for 25 cars is provided at day-use rates.
Hiking: The Ozark Trail passes near the campground. Link at left to more hiking pages.
ATV/motorcycle use: Trails attract recreation riders: Link at left to more information. Off-road vehicle permits required.
Boating/canoeing: Black River is a popular summer float. Many people enjoy tubing as well.No lifeguard on duty.





 Directions

From Centerville, MO take Hwy 21 north 3 miles to Forest Service sign at Forest Road 2233; turn there and go 7 miles, then turn on Forest Road 2236. The campground is anther 3 miles further.
