Jefferson City is located 30 miles south of Columbia and 40 miles northeast of the state’s premiere water sports venue, Lake of the Ozarks. It is accessible via U.S. Highways 50, 54 and 63. There are several car rental companies incase you are arriving to Jefferson City and are in need of renting a car. |

The “Jefftran” serves the capital city with public transportation Monday through Friday all year long and is a great method of getting around the city. Taxis and shuttles are also available and are offered at reasonable prices. Amtrak provides service to the city and is a good way of getting to and from Jefferson City via railroad. |

The Jefferson City Memorial Airport located just across the Missouri River from the city is the local airport but does not service any commercial airline flights. Other options include the Lambert International Airport in St. Louis, which is about a 2 and a half hour drive east, or the Kansas City International Airport in Kansas City, also about a 2 and a half hour drive west. |
