Hendrickson

The concrete boat launch provides access to and parking along the river. The site features an accessible loading platform, and also has a large parking lot and a vault toilet.

The Black River is used for a variety of water based recreation activities, including motor boating, fishing, canoeing, swimming and waterplay.

 Some More Things to Know

Fishing: Fishing is primarily for walleye and catfish, but the Black River also has smallmouth bass and panfish. It is not uncommon for anglers to catch walleye over 10 pounds in weight.





 Directions

From Poplar Bluff, MO, go north on Hwy 67 for 11 miles. Turn east after crossing the Black River onto Butler County Rd, 501 to FS 3046.
